Masdar City, near Abu Dhabi, UAE, is a pioneering sustainable urban project. It aims to be a model green city, powered by renewable energy and focused on innovation in clean technology. With its emphasis on sustainability, it serves as a global example of eco-friendly urban development.
I was approached by Format 3 to create a Metahuman. Our collaboration involved crafting a welcoming Metahuman to guide visitors through Masdar City.
Drawing inspiration from diverse references provided by the client, I sculpted the character’s head in Zbrush to have it resemble the references of Emarati women and utilized Unreal Engine to bring her to life. Using Marvelous Designer, I designed her attire, including a bespoke headscarf and dress, before seamlessly integrating them onto her character model in Cinema 4D. I then animated her in Unreal Engine, synchronizing her lipsync with the client’s voiceover recordings.
